At present, the representative of this aspect in China is the protection and research work of the Yangtze River estuary wetland. Since 1997, in the Yangtze River estuary area, nine sections of sand-promoting and attracting bird ecological projects and the ecological restoration project of Chinese sturgeon population have been implemented, and good results have been achieved. In 2001, the construction of the Chongming Ecological Demonstration Park and the implementation of the artificial release of benthic organisms and other wetland ecological restoration work began, and initial results have been achieved.
